Sailing and the good life
A young Pisan, passionate about Elba and sailing, bought the remains of a building used by workers in the area of the iron mines above Rio Marina. He cleared the forest around the house and redeveloped it to create a place for exclusive holidays focused on pleasure and elegance. High-level cuisine, great wines, horse drawn carriages, classical music and massages. All presented in a charming place off the beaten track, aimed at amazing guests by its beauty and taste.
The Agriturismo Il Termine is a wonderful stone building restored following precise conservative criteria The structure has six romantic rooms, all different in colours and furniture, overlooking a wonderful landscape.Wooden floors, ceilings done in terracotta tiles and exposed hand-hewn chestnut beams, beds with precious hand sewn bed-covers and textiles, Persian carpets and ancient furniture, valuable paintings, period furniture, guarantee an exclusive and original ensemble for warmth, owner’s taste and refinement; all rooms are provided with air-conditioning and Jacuzzi showers.A mini hydromassage swimming pool is immersed in a holm-oak wood and opens the sight on the wonderful Cavo gulf, guaranteeing the guest some moments of pleasant relax. Our chef originally follows it by tradition of typical local and familiar recipes; unfailing ingredients are very fresh local fish and swine meat from Cinta Senese, which is bred in the holm-oak woods of the company.Our wineshop offers a strict selection of local and Etruscan Coast labels.
The program
* Thursday – Departure by sailing boat from the Gulf of Baratti. Arrival in Rio Marina and transfer by horse-drawn carriage to the Agriturismo Il Termine. Welcome cocktail and fish supper with the best white wines on the island.
* Friday – Breakfast and traditional and Shiatsu massage on the lawn in front of the farm holiday centre. Brief trip by carriage to the mining park and fully set picnic with tablecloths etc. Afternoon of sunbathing on the beach. Aperitif and game dinner with the best reds of the island.
* Saturday – Breakfast and transfer to the port in Rio Marina by horse drawn carriage, excursion by sailing boat around the island, picnic on board. Return to the farm holiday centre in the afternoon. At 6.00 p.m. concert of classical music at the “laghetti” in the Park. Dinner and evening dedicated to Tuscan desserts accompanied by the best dessert wines on the island.
* Sunday – Breakfast and transfer by carriage to the port. Excursion by sailing boat with picnic on board as far as the Gulf of Baratti where the programme ends.
Price Four days program: it includes: transfers by sail boat, carriage or private air-conditioned minivan, guide in your language, lunches and dinners as described in the program, wine tastings and three nights in double room with breakfast in Agriturismo Il Termine, single available with supplement. Departure from Golfo di Baratti, pick up service available from your location.
